The help was friendly and the rooms are clean. The view of lake Michigan is awesome. No smoking and dogs are welcome. Rooms have mini-refrigerators, microwave ovens, coffee makers, cable and ac. What more do you need?Now it's time to try the breakfast, and then go disc golfing.
I stayed here for 3 nights in July. The woman at the desk was very friendly and helpful during my long travel when I made reservations 2 months prior to my stay. I called to confirm the night before and a man answered and I had a minor language barrier. I think during my confirming, he must have deleted my reservation. After I drove 6 hours, I was welcomed at the desk by the woman I had originally spoke with. She is very good at customer service! Although, She couldn't find my reservation!! Luckily they still had rooms available and they accept dogs. Which is awesome! The rooms are kept up but extremely outdated. No mini fridge or micowave in the room we were in, but they have a coffee maker. Its like walking into the 1980s and they have questionable people always around the outside doors. They have a pool, which is nice. I don't know if I would stay here again, but the fact that they have rooms just for people with dogs is a major plus!!!! If you are planning a trip, the Quality Inn, right next door, is 100 times cleaner, and nicer for the same price, and I've heard they also take pets. Both hotels sit right outside the down town area in Escanaba. Easy commute to anything you need.
The room did it's job. It provided a decent place to stay for the night. They allowed pets which was a huge plus, but I've stayed at better Super 8's. Not a terrible place to rest your head for the night.
Check in was quick and efficient. Jim at the front desk met every need I had. Good stay. Only negative was that the water heaters could not keep up with a full hotel. Lukewarm morning showers.
Friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and adjoining hot tub. Breakfast was decent with coffee, juices, cereals, instant oatmeal, waffles, toast, bagels, pastries, and a fruit basket. Furnishings somewhat dated but clean. Fairly priced at $95.
